About
The Independent Sub-Zero Shop for Clay County
We are a small, independent shop that does one thing — Sub-Zero refrigeration — on
the Clay County side of the St. Johns, where the luxury brands have long been an afterthought.
Sub-Zero Fleming Island is a locally owned, independent Sub-Zero® repair shop serving Fleming
Island, Pace Island, Eagle Harbor, and the Orange Park riverfront. We are not affiliated with
the manufacturer; we focus on out-of-warranty 500, 600, BI, PRO, and wine units, and we put
Clay County calls first instead of last.

Why we exist
Built for the side of the river everyone skips
For years, getting a Sub-Zero serviced in Fleming Island or Orange Park meant waiting on a
Jacksonville company to find a gap in its day. Those shops fill their schedules on the Beaches
and the Southside, and a luxury-brand call across the Buckman tends to slide to the back of the
list. Clay County’s waterfront homes — some of the oldest luxury kitchens in the
metro — deserved better than a vague window next week.
So that is the shop we built. Routes run Pace Island, Eagle Harbor, and Margaret’s Walk
on Doctors Lake, plus the Club Continental and River Road riverfront in Orange Park. We clear
gated-community access at booking, carry the parts these units actually fail on, and answer the
phone as neighbors rather than a dispatch center two counties away.
One call, one tech, straight answers.
How we work
What you can count on
The values here are simple and we hold to them on every call. They are the reason owners on the
lake call us back rather than rolling the dice on a generalist.
- Diagnosis and a firm number before any part goes in
- Sub-Zero only — depth on the models, not a brand list
- Honest warranty advice, even when it sends you elsewhere
- OEM parts and repair-first thinking on sound cabinets
- Insured, local, and accountable to Clay County neighbors
Independence, stated plainly: Locally owned independent repair service — not affiliated with or approved by Sub-Zero Group, Inc. Product names are trademarks of their respective holders.
Our lane
The Sub-Zero work we know cold
We specialize in the units that fill Clay County’s waterfront kitchens: the 500 and 600
series cabinets at the end of their first long run, and the Classic BI built-ins now deep in
their first major failure window. That focus is why a "--" board display, a vacuum condenser
warning, or a brownout-locked panel is a routine call here rather than a head-scratcher.
We also handle PRO units, wine storage, and undercounter ice machines, and we are candid about
the boundary: a 2022-and-newer CL or DET column under factory warranty should go to Factory
Certified Service first. Once coverage ends, we are right here. The full breakdown lives across
our 600 series and
BI series pages, and you can see how a typical call runs on the
not-cooling page.
Questions
About the shop, answered
Are you affiliated with Sub-Zero or a factory-authorized service?
No. We are an independent, locally owned repair shop with no affiliation to Sub-Zero Group, Inc. We use the Sub-Zero name only to describe the appliances we service. For units still under factory warranty — generally the 2022-and-newer CL and DET lines — Factory Certified Service should get the first call, and we will tell you so plainly.
Why focus only on Sub-Zero rather than every appliance brand?
Depth beats breadth on these machines. A generalist who touches a dozen brands a week cannot know the 600 series board generations or the BI brownout-lock fault the way a tech who works them daily does. By staying on Sub-Zero, we carry the right parts, recognize the patterns fast, and waste less of your time and money on guesswork.
What does "Clay County first" actually mean in practice?
It means a Fleming Island or Orange Park call is the route, not a reluctant trip across the river. Mainland Jacksonville shops fill their day on the Beaches and Southside, so luxury-brand calls on this side of the St. Johns slip to next week. We built the shop here precisely so they do not.
